As a design team we are always fascinated by Typography and we admire the creators of type faces. Its one thing for people to design a font and use it for typical day to day things, but to use fonts in creative atmospheres/environments just interests us even more. Here is a video of a group creating letters out of the screeching of car tires linked with computers. Pretty crazy!!!
Stop motion is becoming bigger and bigger nowadays and is leaving its mark in video. The concept of stop motion is actually pretty simple, but it's the creative ideas you do with this technique that sets you apart from everyone else. We've been flirting with ideas ourseleves and it is definitely on the docket of things to do in the future. Here's a cool one the fellas and I stumbled on a couple months ago...
Hey all just wanted to give a quick update of what was accomplished by the team I went with to Nicaragua and what I got back as result of just an amazing trip of serving and being served back.
Here’s a list of the major projects completed and renovated at the orphanage: built a new roof for the start of a garage, tiled a whole room where church takes place for the children, paint several images/murals throughout the whole orphanage house, add and fixed plumbing, put in a brand new window in the concrete slab walls, ran 5 days of VBS for the young children, built a basketball court, and built a concrete pathway.
But something that was built that will never perish are the relationships we built with the Diaz Family and the children of the orphanage. The Diaz family painted a beautiful picture of what servant hood on a daily basis looks like. They pour everything they have emotionally, spiritually and financially into the kids of the orphanage to live a life of happiness. As for the kids...lets just say God rocked my world just hearing some of their stories and the background in which they have all come from. But I was more impressed by their ability to leave that behind and express true joy for what they now have with God and a family that loves them. Though there was a language barrier between us, the communication in playing, laughing, hugging and the many piggyback rides spoke louder than anything else I would have wanted to say. I found true enjoyment and fulfillment in the work we did in those kids’ hearts and the things we built for them to help aid in their living circumstances. The hardest part to this trip was saying good-bye and knowing we were coming back to a life full of drama and consumption of what the world tells us. It may seem cliché to say I came back a changed person, but I do genuinely feel God did work in my own heart to mature in all areas especially in my spiritual life. And to be intentional with the things I make priorities and being led by God to know what those priorities are. And lastly the love I gained for people and children that live in unfortunate situations like Nicaragua.
I do want to take the time to thank those that helped and make this trip happen. Shout outs to my family, friends and the FortyOneTwenty family that helped raise the money. It’s amazing to be surrounded by people that share the same vision in helping and loving on people all over the world.
